happy new year!!!

ok, so 2007 has arrived - bloody hell time goes by so fast! anyways, my new year was really nice - though i have to say it cant beat christmas, cos that was just toooooo awesome! =)we went out, had drinks and enjoyed another night out... it was different than what i was used to from switzerland, though... the countdown was hardly spectacular and thy even did it 5 minutes early! the thing with punctuality might be a swiss curse, but, c'mon, 5 minutes early???!!!
there were fire works as well, but nothing spectacular... all in all it was great fun. that didnt hold in the morning, though! =) freekin hangover, as i suppose most people have on the 1st of january... =) so ursula (german girl) and me went walking along the lake for hours - trying to escape the bad feeling in our stomachs and heads... it kinda worked... =) it was really helpful that for the first time in days we had sunshine and a nice temperature... it had been like 13 deg with lots of rain most of the time, so we really enjoyed the beautiful weather... ah, right, the day before we went swimming in lake wanaka (which is one of the coldest lakes in nz) and somebody told me the water temperature was about 8 deg, so we were really proud we actually got in!!! =) anyways, yesterday we did nothing except walking, enjoying the beautiful view of the scenery and lying in the grass... our sunburns, on the other hand, werent that pretty, my skin burns like hell and weve only got it in the faces so we look like juicy tomatoes... it really isnt nice to look at... =)
i think that was it cos in the next couple of days ill just chill a bit, go for some walks and then ill be off to dunedin next...
