im off

im leaving wanaka today - which is bloody sad!!! though i have to say im looking forward to being on the raod again because after 2 weeks of hardly having used my car, i really miss driving around in it... =) in the last couple of days i havent been up to too much. on wednesday, though, i went for a 6 hour walk - which was absolutely beautiful and stunning and whatever word i cant think of right now!!! i walked along the lake for like 2 hours and then did the clutha river track, got a bit lost on the way, and in the end walked all the way back to the hostel with pretty nice blisters. =) what more could you want than walking (at my own pace!!!=) and listening to my own music on the ipod?! i really really enjoyed it and i wouldnt have thought that after a while of being around heaps of people (however awesome they might be) you really appreciate being by yourself again - for 6 lovely hours. =) other than walks ive also just chilled outside, reading my gorgeous book, which im sad to say that is almost finished: ive saved the last 10 pages =( (mi&lauri: i had known it was murthag for ages!!! =) anyways, the weather has been gorgeous in the last few dys compared to the time round christmas... i think it has hit the 30 deg mark... though the sun is heaps more vicious than anywhere i know because of the ozone down here... you i just stayed in the shade the whole day (and still had a small amount of sunburn). hmmm, thats almost it for the past few days... my next stop is dunedin and after that my plan is to go down south and see the catlins - invercargill - bluff - steward island - doubtful sound and then maybe make another stop here in wanaka or down in queenstown before heading north again...
take care,

ah, right, todays the 6th, aye?!
please eat some 3choenigschueche and get the king for me... =)

Dearest Julia, everybody tried to get the king but I did it! But of course deep in our hearts everyone missed you badly for the special occasion...
By the way, I found out THE trick: you have to go for the smallest, maybe even slightly squashed parts...!!!
    Love, Tina
